Some soar around the gates of heaven
Their transparent being
Directing its light
To expose what’s good

Some wander outside the gates of hell
Their opaque being
Preventing its darkness
From hiding what’s good

Some follow this path along  light
And open their souls to the world
Their world of joy, hope, potential
Of eternal peace
For all humanity

Some follow this path along dark
And close their souls to the world
Their world of blood, sorrow, fear
Of eternal damnation
For all humanity

Those near the light think not
of the dark
For they are blinded
by the light

Those near the dark think not
of the light
For they are trapped
by the dark

Put your heart in the light
Make all things possible
Set your mind in the dark
Make all things clear

Two extremes of man
With one intention

To form the picture
With lighting and shading
Of truth that can be seen
Of truth that can be grasped

Love by light
Love by dark
All for the love of truth
All for the love of man
